I sent out invites to everyone I had email addresses for and then realized it would not be viewable to those I don't have on my list. I know some of you have gotten new addresses and some of you are just blog stalkers! So, if you would like to be on the list to view our wonderfully entertaining blog, and you didn't get an invite, you will now have to make yourself known. Leave me your email address.

So the baby countdown ticker was a little off.
This is "the hubby", as I am affectionately referred to on this blog. And why am I posting, as opposed to my lovely wife, you might ask? We'll, she currently is laying in the hospital with baby McDaniel #4. (Actually, baby McDaniel is probably laying in the nursery while mommy sleeps, got to take advantage of the hospital staff while we can.) Anyway, I promised a few of you that I'd do my best to get some pics posted tonight, so here you are:
Oh and by the way, she's a girl. We were both guessing boy so we were a little surprised.
It's late and I'm sleep deprived, so I'm just going to cut straight to the necessary details. Mom's water broke at 3:30 a.m. Monday morning. We arrived at the hospital at 5:00 a.m. Baby joined us at 7:10 a.m. 7 pounds, 4 ounces, 20 inches, slimy and cute. Mom and baby are doing well. Mom's awesome sister "nursed" us through the whole thing, even though it was her day off. In keeping with Mom's prohibition on names on this blog, you will have to call to find out that little detail. We have yet to settle on a middle name, but we've got the first pinned down.
Mom and baby are doing great. Older sisters are ecstatic. Brother was mildly entertained for a moment. More later.

Progress on "The Project"
The drywall/mud/tape/texture was finished mid May and amidst many other things going on in our lives we were able to get most of the basement painted. But then we lost momentum. Dad getting the primer ready. We rented a spray gun, which was amazingly messy, to do the primer and the ceiling paint. The two of us were struggling a bit dealing with painting and 3 kids. Luckily our brother-in-law came to help us finish and get the spray gun back on time!
We had to roll the whole thing right after we sprayed it to make it smooth. Notice our biggest helper. She always wants to be right in the action.
The finished product. My awesome hubby rolled the whole thing, 2 coats, by himself!

Painting the girls' new room lavender. We let the kids "help" and it was a lot of fun to do together for FHE.
Thanks to my great in-laws we have some momentum to finish this basement project. They drove up from California this past weekend to help paint rooms, doors, baseboards, trim, etc., hang doors and trim, and do electrical work. We always work them way too hard when they come and are definitely looking forward to the day they come to visit and we can just hang out and go to the zoo (or something else just as fun and exciting)!
We still have a lot of caulking, painting, putting on of trim and baseboards to do, but to see doors on the walls makes it seem within reach.

4th of July
We made a quick trip to Cali for a family reunion/ 4th celebration. The kids loved seeing Grandma and Grandpa and cousins too. Luckily there was no baby born while we were out of state! Guitar Hero with Grandma!
Loves from Grandpa

At the parade
The fireworks were a little loud for him.
You can even see fireworks with your eyes closed!

Girls' Camp
I know some of you have been checking in regularly to see what exciting events are taking place here. We have been crazy busy, so be ready for a plethora of posts!
I went to girls' camp a couple of weeks ago. NO, no one made me go. I wanted to go. It was a ton of fun and not too hot. The girls all got along great and bonded, as did all of the leaders. Here are some pictures I borrowed from the other leaders. I really didn't want any pictures of myself being large and pregnant, so I tried to stay in the background. They did get a couple of close ups so you can see me at 7 months pregnant!
All of us at camp.
Here we are doing soap boat races. I am the one on the left with the white shirt, arm on belly holding (you can't see it but it looked good!) the toilet soap boat. I know someone got a picture of it. I will have to find out who it was. Jana braiding my hair. She is the camp director and did an amazing job making camp a success for everyone. And even had time to braid a lot of hair!
